Description
This amazing rare antique earthenware set of a pair of large vases and a jardiniere, presumably from the Luneville manufactory? or Sarreguemines ?, a deep dark green color has a gallant scene pattern on one side and luxurious lilac flowers on the other, which is typical for the production of porcelain and earthenware in the 1880s. The drawing is made in the style of decal, with hand painting. Luxurious curves of objects are accentuated by gold color.
They were bought by me from a lovely aristocratic lady in the 16th quarter of Paris who, luckily for me, was moving into a smaller house of her own in Portugal, along with a lot of treasures that I somehow managed to keep for myself, lol.
In her apartment, this set was placed on the mantelpiece, but you can also find a more interesting arrangement for them in your home or apartment.
Dimensions:
Vases:
Height 37.5 cm 14.56 inch
Width with handles 21cm 8.26 inches
Depth 15 cm 5.90 inch
Jardiniere:
Width 45 cm 17.71 inch
Height 18 cm 7.08 inch
Depth 18 cm 7.08 inch
Set weight before packing 4800 g
In general, the condition of this more than 100-year-old kit is good. There is a visible crack at the bottom of the jardiniere (see photo 10), but it is not through and does not affect the practicality of the thing in any way, as well as a small chip on one of the supports, which is also not visible, but I must warn about this.
I try to pack my treasures very securely so that they can withstand the long journey to the new owner and bring him pleasure.
