A gorgeous French antique baby cot, swinging cradle, handmade pitch pine and made around the early 1900`s, the swinging metal hardware hooks are hand forged and also the primitive style hanldes to the sides are hand carved

The condition for its age is very sturdy and solid in excellent loved used condition.

Make no mistake this is a genuine piece of French history dating from the early 1900s from the Berry region (central rural France farming area) in the long gone times when money was not an option and a new member of the family had arrived and you needed a new cot or high chair etc, many people just made there own including the nails and hinges hooks etc,also light fittings, horse and animal hardware and anything else they needed,
They just did not have the funds to buy or the transport to get to the nearest big town, most rural country farming houses also had there own furnace and some still do now!

So what will you use it for? well obviously a baby! or an amazing planter, linen basket, vegetable store etc etc im sure there are many other uses and it will be a fabulous focal and talking point to any room in the house.
