It is difficult to imagine the national cuisine of France without asparagus and artichokes. Undoubtedly, this is a national treasure. Gorgeous antique large asparagus or artichoke dish, handmade in the majolica/barbotine technique of the Longchamp, Burgundy, France pottery, founded circa 1832. The dish bears the underglaze marking of Longchamp Terre, which I would attribute to the early 20th century.
This serving dish is large enough to accommodate not only asparagus or artichokes, but also sauces for which there are special cavities on the sides.

This beautiful table setting, made and painted by hand, will undoubtedly decorate any table.

The dish is in good vintage condition, but there are glaze chips on the legs that do not affect the functionality of the item.
