Another highlight of my collection from the absolutely aristocratic Christofle is a set for church communion, consisting of a small silver-plated cup and a spoon for it. The cup is decorated with a Celtic ornament in the form of tree leaves along the perimeter, similarly, the handle of the spoon is decorated with curls. The items are marked with the letters O and C and a chess rook in the center, which were put by the company between 1935 and 1983 and the Christofle inscription, as well as a stamp in the form of scales and stars and the letters O and C, indicating the presence of silver in the metal alloy . The items can be stored as collectibles, but are also very handy for breakfast as a cup and egg spoon. The items are in the original mother-of-pearl box, upholstered with satin on the inside and bearing the inscriptions Christofle, Paris and signs typical for the sale of silver items. Items are in excellent vintage condition, no scratches, apparently stored in a cupboard.
In any case, this is definitely a part of life from Downton Abbey. :-)
