Description
An excellent pair of tall wedding vases from Parisian porcelain, old paris vieux paris porcelain as commonly known, probably in the late 19th century. An absolutely flawless piece with finely crafted details and gilding. We purchased these magnificent vases from an elderly lady in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, they stood on the mantelpiece next to the clock and some other family treasures. According to her, vases were passed down from generation to generation and were always placed on the table of the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony.
It is surprising that these vases have survived to our time in perfect condition, apart from the partial disappearance of the gilding, which is forgivable for such a period, and they are still paired!
One of the vases has a hairline crack (photo 10), but it happened during the manufacture of the product and did not affect the quality in any way, but was released by the porcelain masters for sale. The vases were made around the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century, which is typical for Parisian porcelain, it does not have a stamp, but only numbers in the porcelain "dough", as you can see in photo 9.
These fine pieces will not only serve a wedding, but are considered a good investment for any collector of antique china as prices for such rarities are only growing.
Dimensions:
Height -33 cm (12,99 inch)
Width with handles - 20 cm (7,87 inch)
Depth - 12 cm (4,73 inch)
